I much prefer John's to the Toyota dealership. It's easier to schedule appointments and the waiting area is much more pleasant.

There was a check waiting for me when I checked the mail box.When the time comes, I will visit them again.Hello YelpersI just received an eMail from the owner. I am all about giving second chances to our local businesses and I think I will give them a second chance. I am giving 4 stars to the owner. I had to stop at few gas stations to refill my tire.John's Place, formerly known as Duxler Tire and Service of Glenview was closet to my home and YELP gave such good reviews so I thought I would give them a try.When I walked into this place, the salesman (dressed like a used car salesman with his Bling) took his sweet time in greeting me.When he finally did greeted me, I told him about my problem with the tire. He said that they do repair tires and said it would cost $25 + tax.After he got my info, one of the mechanic took my car into the garage.After about 35 minutes, they brought my car to the front. I went to the salesman to pay my bill. To my surprise the bill was for $30 + tax and not $25+ tax like he said in the begining. I was already lake for work and I did not feel like "fighting" over $5 so i just paid my bill.I would not trust this Salesman, I swear this guys reminds me of a dishonest used car salesman.If they are willing to cheat someone out of $5.00 I could just imagine what they would do with a huge repair.

This is my favorite shop now. They take care of all services, will install parts I bring in myself, and their customer service is excellent. Prices are reasonable and they'll negotiate if you show them a competitor's price for a part or service. Fast service, but I recommend getting an appointment for any service as they usually already have a workload. Their website is also helpful and gives prices on their services.

Great service and friendly staff. The prices were pretty decent and only slightly higher than a big box store. The difference would be the personalized service from a friendly and knowledgable staff. I would go again without hesitation.

John's Place is highly recommended. They are fast, honest and above-board, and an all-round easy place to do business with. It is easy to see that they aim to please their customers and, frankly, I haven't been to any other automotive services place in a long time that the same can be said of.Beside their expertise some other things that make them so good:* Two comfortable waiting areas; one with a TV and computers so that you can check your email, etc. The other a quiet, sunny area. Great chairs in both spaces.* Wi fi* Do what they say they're going to do when they say they will (or sooner)* Clean, convenient bathrooms* Great guarantee on their work* Competitive pricing* Friendly and accommodatingThey're impressive. I'm really happy a friend told me about them which is why I'm posting my first ever Yelp review - to let you know about them too.

Cars are SO complicated these days, that the average owner can't do even the most routine of maintenance jobs anymore. And, let's face it, cars ARE expensive to maintain. So, when you need work done you HAVE TO go a place where you just KNOW you're getting your moneys worth. John's Place IS that kind of place ! YES...VERY competent, they DO NOT do things that don't need to be done. But when they do, I KNOW it's RIGHT and at a GOOD PRICE ! I TOTALLY..TRUST Johns' Place...! All this and these are genuinely NICE people to do business with !

I have been a customer of Personalized Auto Care since 1990 or 1991. It's run by two guys who are honest, tell you straight what's wrong and what it will cost you, and then stick to it. They're not big on frills, but who cares? I just want a honest mechanic who won't charge me an arm and a leg, and that's what you get from Ray and Rick
