I've been a satisfied customer of Personalized Auto Care, formerly known as John's Place, and before that, a Duxler franchise, for as many years as I can remember, back to the days when they were just a "tire place." I've taken my Acura, Civic, and 2000 BMW 528i to them for maintenance and after-warranty repairs. There has never been a problem with the work they have done, and they never "up-sell" or recommend a repair or replacement of something that is not necessary. They use factory parts, but are a lot less expensive in terms of labor than the local (BMW) dealership, which more than makes up for the fact that they don't give you a free breakfast or lunch. (They do have Keurig coffee, though, if you wait, and a car rental arrangement at low rates with Enterprise.) John Hoppe has recently retired, and I've just had my first work done under the new owner, Javier Soto, who is every bit as knowledgable, friendly, honest, and customer oriented as was John. I have no hesitancy in highly recommending Personalized Auto Care, especially for the foreign cars in which they specialize.
