ABS Diagnostic Service in Glenview
This is an image of an ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) Light.
This light will illuminate when there is a fault in the system, that is to say a “malfunction.” One of the components in the system has failed. When this is lit, many times the “BRAKE” warning light or VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) will illuminate as well.
There are many components in the ABS System that will turn on this light.
While the light is on, the ABS System does not work. You will still have brakes, but you may not have steady, even braking in an emergency situation.
It is important to have this diagnosed and repaired by a qualified shop. Qualified meaning, a shop with the proper equipment to diagnose what has failed.
Many shops have diagnostic equipment but that equipment may not be enough to truly determine where the failure is.
